Punjab Kings (PBKS) is a franchise cricket team that participates in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The team is based in Mohali, Punjab and has been a part of the IPL since its inception in 2008.
Despite having strong teams over the years, PBKS are yet to win an IPL title. For IPL 2025, they have made big changes, appointing Ricky Ponting as the head coach and Shreyas Iyer as the captain (bought for a record ₹26.75 crore). Notable additions are Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis and Yuzvendra Chahal, along with retained pacer Arshdeep Singh. With new leadership and an experienced team, PBKS aim to clinch their maiden IPL trophy in 2025.
